Emphasis

Despite having more or less similar plots, the differences between the two version of The Arena go beyond changes of setting and characterisation. There are also alterations in emphasis as to how events of the film are presented, as a consideration of the depiction of sex and of the gladiatorial fights in both movies reflects.
